Meanwhile, Aquaman depicter Jason Momoa took to social media to announce that filming on the James Wan-directed wrapped on Friday, October 20.
As filming on "Aquaman" has officially wrapped, final set photos and video have surfaced online. Taken from the Australia's Gold Coast set, the photos and the video that emerged on Friday, October 20 showed Jason Momoa as the King of Atlantis sporting a new armored costume.

Our titular hero, whose alter ego is Arthur Curry, could be seen frolicking at a beach with his beloved Queen Mera, played by Amber Heard. Sporting her signature fiery red hair and green costume, she walked out of the ocean and onto the shore hand-in-hand with Aquaman.

That same day, Momoa took to his Instagram account to announce that the filming on the upcoming film had wrapped. "Stay tuned We fucking wrap. Aquaman today. 114 days. BOOM. Should be a trip Aloha j (sic)," the buffed actor wrote in his post.

Momoa previously dished on the movie, saying that it's an origin story. Speaking to Total Film, he said that "Justice League" would offer "just a snippet of [Aquaman's] life." He explained, "There won't really be a lot of explanation in the ['Justice League'] movie about Aquaman. You get to see why he's a gruff, tough character, and why he's just a bit of a punk sometimes."

"It's the whole origin story for sure," he noted. "You'll see young Arthur and everything. It goes from before he was born... it's the whole mythology of it."

Directed by James Wan from a script written by Will Beall, "Aquaman" is scheduled to open in theaters across the nation on December 21 next year.
