Gerard Butler was involved in a traffic accident over the weekend. According to a scoop from TMZ, the 47-year-old actor crashed his motorcycle. He was allegedly cut off by a car while riding his motorbike in Los Angeles.

The Scottish star was taken to a nearby hospital for precaution. Thankfully, he had no serious injuries. He was only treated for cuts and bruises. There was no information on the driver of the other vehicle.

Gerard Butler was last seen on the big screen in "Gods of Egypt" and "London Has Fallen" in 2016. He is currently doing press tour for his latest film "Geostorm". He is scheduled to drop by "The Talk" on Friday, October 20.

"Geostorm" is also coming out this weekend in the United States. It's supported by Jim Sturgess, Abbie Cornish, Daniel Wu and Andy Garcia. It's about the network of satellites designed to control the global climate which start to attack Earth. It's a race against the clock to uncover the real threat before a worldwide geostorm wipes out everything and everyone.

The actor's next projects include action thrillers "Hunter Killer" and "Den of Thieves". The former is supported by Gary Oldman, Billy Bob Thornton, Willem Dafoe and Common while the latter has 50 Cent, Pablo Schreiber and O'Shea Jackson Jr.

Butler is also signed on for an upcoming "London Has Fallen" sequel titled "Angel Has Fallen" which is the third installment of a franchise launched in 2013 with "Olympus Has Fallen".

He is set to reprise his role as secret service agent Mike Banning. "Angel" is reportedly a code name for the President's official plane Air Force One in this upcoming movie. After successfully thwarting any effort to harm the President in the first two movies, Mike now becomes the main target of the enemies.
