The new teaser drops the first six episode titles of the upcoming nine-part second season, while titles for the final three chapters are kept tightly under wraps.

AceShowbiz - We're about three weeks away from the premiere of season 2 of "Stranger Things", and now Netflix has shared a new cryptic teaser of the sci-fi series' sophomore season. Shared on the show's Twitter account, the newly-released video offers some details about the upcoming season.

The creepy teaser unveils the first six episode titles of the upcoming nine-part second season. Judging by the teaser, the first episode of season 2 of "Stranger Things" will be titled "Chapter One: Madmax", while episode 2 and 3 are called "Chapter Two: Trick or Treat Freak" and "Chapter Three: The Pollywog" respectively.

Episode 4 seemingly will take Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) at the center of the story since it's titled "Chapter 4: Will the Wise". Episode 5, meanwhile, is titled "Chapter 5: Dig Dug" with "Chapter 6: The Spy" serving as title of episode 6. However, creators Matt and Ross Duffer keep the titles for the final three chapters tightly under wraps.

Most of these new titles are different from the ones that the Duffer brothers hinted back in February. The only episode titles which remain the same are "Madmax" and "Pollywog", which is initially a title for episode 6 instead of 3.

Just recently, the first clip from the new season found its way out online through the show's 8-bit-inspired mobile game. The new clip showed that Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Will were getting spooked on Halloween night after Max, played by Sadie Sink, scared them with a Michael Myers mask.

Series creator Matt Duffer previously noted that season 2 would be different from the first season, which mainly focused on finding Will (Noah Schnapp) and defeating the demogorgon. Season 2 of "Stranger Things" would feature several disparate storylines that all revolved around something called the "shadow monster," a nickname given to a giant creature Will first met in PTSD-like visions of the Upside Down.

"It's all connected to this singular threat, which is tied into this shape that Will sees in the sky," Ross Duffer revealed. Matt further explained that season 2 would have its episodes "building on the last on," before adding, "It gets much crazier than it ever got in season 1."

"Stranger Things" season 2 premieres on Friday, October 27 on Netflix.
