'Dancing with the Stars': Maks Chmerkovskiy Will Be Back Next Week, ABC Bosses Threaten to Fire Him
TV

The 31-year-old pro dancer announces on Twitter that he 'can't wait to be back at the Ballroom' and he is 'excited' for his 'new dance' with Vanessa Lachey.

AceShowbiz - Maksim Chmerkovskiy has broken his silence after skipping this week's "Dancing with the Stars" performance with partner Vanessa Lachey (formerly known as Vanessa Minnillo) due to "personal issues." The pro-dancer, who reportedly is feuding with the TV personality, takes to social media to announce that he will be back to the dance floor next week.

The husband of Peta Murgatroyd posts a photo of Vanessa and Alan Bersten, who stepped in for him in this week's performance, on his Instagram account. He captions it, "Thank you @alanbersten for doing a great job stepping in for me.....again! #DWTS You're definitely relieved of your duty starting this week," before he edits out his comment about Alan not having to step in for him this week.

Maks also announces his return to the ABC dancing competition on Twitter. He lets his followers know that he "can't wait to be back at the Ballroom" and he is "excited" for his "new dance" with the former Miss Teen USA.

Rumor has it, Maks doesn't have a choice other than returning as his job is on the line. "If Maks doesn't return to the show by next week to dance with Vanessa [Lachey], he will be fired," a show insider told Radar Online. "Vanessa can practice and rehearse with a different partner this week, but Maks must be on the ball room floor."

Vanessa's husband, Nick Lachey, who is also competing in season 25 of "DWTS", reportedly shows his support to his wife amid her alleged tension with Maks. "Nick is completely on his wife's side and hopes [she and Maks] both realize that this is supposed to be fun and not a matter of life and death," an insider reveals to HollywoodLife.com. "Nick wants egos to subside and have Maks and Vanessa go through the show and be civil about things, and just maybe end up being friends. They have a chance to win and he wants them to work things out."

The feud between Maks and Vanessa allegedly stemmed from Maks, who "feels that she is not taking it as seriously as she should." Another report suggested that Vanessa and Maks were having "a big chemistry issue." They both allegedly "have big personalities" and "have been fighting a lot."

However, in a new interview, Vanessa happily talks about how she learns a lot from Maks. "I just know that when I'm on set he's my coach and I'm the student, so I listen a lot more and I don't speak up as much because this is a field I don't know," the 36-year-old star tells Us Weekly. "He's trained me and taught me so many amazing wonderful new things just like any trainer would or teacher would. But at home I think I'm a lot more outspoken!"
