The 'Kick the Dust Up' crooner has reportedly gotten an offer from ABC to join the upcoming revamped singing competition.

AceShowbiz - Luke Bryan is reportedly courted to be a judge on "American Idol". According to TMZ, the country music crooner has got an offer from the show's producers to join Katy Perry on the upcoming revamped singing competition.

It's unclear how much money is offered to Luke to join the upcoming show. Rumor has it, Katy is getting a whopping $25 million as a judge while Ryan Seacrest agrees to return as a host for $15 million.

The "American Idol" reboot is expected to premiere sometime in early 2018 on ABC. The Alphabet is reportedly struggling to lock down the remaining judges. Charlie Puth, Lionel Richie and former judge Keith Urban are among the rumored candidates. Lionel's team allegedly asked for $10 million, a double from initial paycheck offered by the network.

"I'm really pulling for Lionel because I think Lionel is an icon," Katy recently said. "And not only that, but if you've seen or ever met Lionel, he just knows how to charm the whole room and he's such an artisan with words... I love Lionel."

She also gushed about Charlie, "Charlie I think is an interesting play because Charlie Puth is somewhat new to the general public of America. Obviously he has his own big fan base, but I think he's really talented. That song 'Attention' is one of my favorite songs this year."

The show has kicked off audition. Unfortunately, the ones originally scheduled in Houston on September 2 and San Antonio on September 4 were forced to be cannceled due to Hurricane Harvey. "For anyone who would like to continue to pursue their 'Idol' dreams, we encourage you to attend the upcoming auditions in Shreveport, L.A. on September 4, and New Orleans, L.A. on September 14, or submit your audition online at americanidol.com," the show announced.
