After being criticized over the incomplete portrayal and visual effects of Medusa's hair, the show displays a less fluid and more static version of the hair in the new trailer.

AceShowbiz - It seems like "Marvel's Inhumans" finally listens to the criticisms. The upcoming ABC show has decided to fix its infamous Medusa's hair in the new trailer, which is released a month ahead of the show's IMAX premiere.
Fans have been vocal about the lackluster portrayal and visual effects of Medusa's hair which is deemed far from the comics' counterpart. The hair previously was depicted to be constantly flowing, which, according to fans, was more about shattering the illusion of it being realistic rather than giving it a life of its own. The new trailer, however, shows a less fluid and more static version of the hair.
Also glimpsed in the trailer is a scene featuring Serinda Swan's Medusa fighting one of Maximus' (Iwan Rheon) troops for his coup d'etat attempt. The scene is similar to the one from the previous trailer, in which the Inhumans Queen is seen completely overpowering one of Maximus' men.
Serinda previously weighed in on the critically-panned Medusa's wig during the show's panel at the Television Critics Association summer press tour. "It's never been done before," said the "Tron: Legacy" star. "So there's going to be issues and there's going to be trials and tribulations. The CGI … there was software that had to be built for it."
"It's very heavy," she continued. "You put it on and everyone is like, 'You've such good posture, you're so regal,' but no, my head is being pulled backwards. There were definitely days shooting in Hawaii with a four-pound red wig down to my shins, which felt like a very warm cat settling on my head, one that I was probably allergic to."
Marvel's head of television Jeph Loeb also defended the show amid criticism, insisting that what fans saw was not the finished product. "I can tell you that it was written on the material that you were given that the show that you have seen is not the finished product," he opened up. "If you're asking me whether or not it was done, it's not. So to be perfectly honest, I don't understand your question."
"Marvel's Inhumans" will chronicle "a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers, [which] were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Since that time, they have grown in prominence and become some of the most popular and iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. 'Marvel's Inhumans' will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family."
Anson Mount stars as Black Bolt, the silent King of the Inhumans, Isabelle Cornish stars as Crystal and Sonya Balmores stars as Auran. The cast also includes Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Ken Leung as Karnak, Mike Moh as Triton, Henry Ian Cusick as Dr. Evan Declan, and Ellen Woglom in an undisclosed role. Lockjaw the giant dog will also be featured on the series.
The eight-episode series will premiere its first two episodes on Friday, September 29 at 8 P.M. on ABC, before later airing on Friday at 9 P.M. slot. Prior to the TV debut, the first two episodes of "Marvel's Inhumans" will screen in IMAX theaters worldwide for two weeks, starting on September 1.
