AceShowbiz - Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung have joined the list of famous couples who broke up this year. The pair decided to go separate ways after four months of dating although many people wanted them to last long.
YG Entertainment confirmed their breakup, stating, "We checked with Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung, and it is true that they have decided to break up." The agency refused to reveal the reason behind their split because it's personal, but an insider dished that they grew apart because of each other's busy schedules.
Fans were sad because they only dated for a short period. "Celebrities seem to break up a lot faster than usual lately," a fan wrote on an article on Naver. "Seems all public relationships end up in break ups," another added, while someone pointed out that Sung Kyung and Joo Hyuk were best friends prior to their relationship. "What's really sad about this is that they were best friends before they started dating. I'd be so sad if I lost a friend like that after we broke up," the fan said.
Others were sure that Sung Kyung and Joo Hyuk broke up because of her personality. "Really turned off by Lee Sung Kyung after how she acted toward Cho Hye Jung. I saw her true colors then, and it wasn't something that could be fixed," one of them commented. Another quipped, "Hard to be longterm lovers with someone with as much attitude controversies as her."
Sung Kyung landed it hot water for disrespecting her "WFKBJ" co-star Cho Hye Jung back in May. People accused Sung Kyung of wanting to prove that she was more popular than Hye Jung as she started an Instagram Live a few minutes after the latter started hers. During the broadcast, Sung Kyung could be heard saying, "You should turn yours off!" and "Don't look so down," causing people to believe that she wanted to show off her popularity because she obviously had more viewers than Hye Jung.
