Pink reacted to a snarky Twitter user who mocked her after she was announced to receive Video Vanguard Award at MTV Video Music Awards. "Let's celebrate @Pink's Vanguard Award with the only relevant video of her career, starring as Xtina backup singer," the internet troll wrote.

The singer refused to be pitted against fellow female musician Christina Aguilera. They did have feud following their 2001 collaboration on "Lady Marmalade", but Pink made it clear that they had buried the hatchet. "Want to point out an awful new phenomenon of the last 10'years. We can no longer be happy for each other. I [love emoji] Xtina, we've made amends....," so she set the record straight.

The 37-year-old singer/songwriter was all about positivy as she added in another post, "Music brings us all together. The best part of music is- there's room for everyone to win at the same time. Don't be what's wrong w/da world."

She then addressed criticism over her being picked as a Video Vanguard Award recipient. "Let's be an example of inclusion and celebration. You don't have to like me at all, I'm ok with that. Just be a decent person," she wrote before she fired back at the hater, "And you're f***in rip van winkle if you've never seen one of my videos."

Pink will be feted at the MTV live telecast on August 27. She followed in the footsteps of past Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award recipients like Justin Timberlake, Kanye West and Beyonce Knowles.

She recently released a new single called "What About Us" from her next studio installment "Beautiful Trauma" which is due October 13 in the United States. She is expected to perform the song along with medley of her past hit singles at the upcoming 34th annual VMAs.

Other musical guests at this year's VMAs include Katy Perry who also serves as a host, Kendrick Lamar who dominates the nominations list, Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, Lorde, Shawn Mendes, Fifth Harmony, The Weeknd and 30 Seconds to Mars.
