The network's Thursday lineup will kick off on September 21, decreasing initial 11-day gap between 'The Orville' special series premiere and its time period premiere to only four days.

AceShowbiz - FOX has made some alterations in its fall 2017 premiere schedules. The network's Thursday lineup, which was originally set for a September 28 premiere week, will be moved up a week to September 21.

Fans of "Gotham" won't have to wait quite longer than expected as the fan-favorite show will return for season 4 on September 21 at 8 P.M. on the network, instead of September 28. It will be followed by the time period premiere of Seth MacFarlane's new comedy "The Orville".

The shift is made as the network wants to give "The Orville" a continuous run. The space comedy series will launch a special two-night premiere on back-to-back Sundays on September 10 and 17. Now with the new change, FOX has cut short the 11-day gap to four days only, much to fans' excitement.

"Gotham" season 4 promises an even tougher battle for Jim Gordon (Benjamin McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue). Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) will begin to take up the responsibility of the city's well-being.

Meanwhile, "The Orville" follows the human and alien crew of an exploratory spaceship 400 years in the future. Creator and star Seth plays the titular ship's captain on the new futuristic "Star Trek"-like series.
