If he is found guilty of passing on his HIV to his homosexual partner, the 51-year-old actor could be facing nearly a decade behind bars.

AceShowbiz - Charlie Sheen could be facing some serious jail time after accused of infecting his homosexual partner with HIV. Radar Online has reported that the man, whose identity is kept secret, "has traced his infection to gay trysts with Sheen."

According to California law, it's a felony for a HIV-positive person to engage in even consensual sex without a condom, if there's intent to pass on the virus. If he is found guilty, 51-year-old Sheen could be facing up to eight years behind bars.

New York City attorney Peter Gleason told the publication that the former "Two and a Half Men" star "could be on the hook for millions," before adding, "You're talking about pain and suffering, mental anguish and future medical costs."

Sheen publicly revealed that he's HIV-positive in November 2015, noting that since 2011, he had paid extortionists approximately $10 million to keep his HIV status secret. It's suggested that the actor had more than 200 sexual partners after he learned he had HIV.
