Wedding bells are seemingly on the way for Miranda Lambert and Anderson East. Rumor has it, the "Little Red Wagon" singer is engaged to her boyfriend of a year and a half after she proposed to him.
"They actually got engaged over the phone in late June," an insider reveals to In Touch, "Miranda was playing a festival in Chicago and Anderson was at a gig in St. Louis. They were up talking long into the night and suddenly Miranda blurted out, 'Will you marry me?' "
According to the insider, Anderson was clearly off guard when Miranda popped the question to him because at first, he thought she was joking. "When Miranda told him that she was serious, Anderson didn't think twice about saying yes," added the insider.
Miranda and Anderson are reportedly planning to elope in the fall before embarking on a tropical honeymoon. The couple will hold a party next summer in honor of their nuptials with their family and friends.
On Tuesday, July 18, Miranda wished Anderson a happy birthday with a very sweet notes on Instagram. "Rock & Roll Sundays and No Makeup Mondays. My favorite Bama boy turned 30 today. He owns the stage and he owns my heart," she wrote, "Thanks @andersoneast for inspiring me in so many ways. You are a light that could outshine the sun. I love making memories with you. #burnincandlesatbothends #30somethings."
