Relax! Ed Sheeran NOT Really Quitting Twitter
Celebrity

Contrary to the internet buzz suggesting that he left Twitter for good, the 'Shape of You' hitmaker says he only wanted to keep his distance.

Ed Sheeran didn't really quit Twitter. While promoting on Instagram the latest issue of Q Magazine where he graced the front page, the British gingerhead singer set the record straight on the buzzing rumors that he gave up Twitter for good.

"Q magazine is out now," the Grammy winner wrote on the Instagram. "Also loads of Hoo-har about me quitting stuff. I haven't quit anything, I'm just not reading anything, except Harry Potter. Hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th yo."

Ed Sheeran was turned off by the amount of hate he received from Lady GaGa's fans "who read an interview in which they assumed I was talking about her and they all f**king hate." He explained, "It wasn't anything to do with that at all. So I think Twitter gets on a massive steam roll of assuming things and then you get in the s**t."

The Mother Monster quickly stepped in. She had nothing but good words for Ed, "What an incredible talented artist I LOVE ED. [He] deserves all our love and respect like all humans do. I wish all people on the internet would be positive and loving and apart of creating an online community that is kind and empowering, not hateful and mean," she captioned a picture of them posing together at an event. "No reason to tear down an artist simply because they are on top. Work harder to be kinder everybody. That should be your first duty to humanity."
