John Legend has been hitting the road for his "Darkness and Light" tour in the last few weeks, but the "All of Me" hitmaker recently announced that he would postpone two of the tour dates due to illness. He took to Twitter on Tuesday, June 20 to personally apologize to his fans in Columbia, Maryland and Camden, New Jersey.

Legend was initially scheduled to perform in the two cities on June 20 and June 22 respectively. While he didn't mention the disease, the singer shared that he had to rest his voice before resuming the tour. "I want to personally apologize. I've gotten sick and need a few days to recover and rest my voice. We are postponing the shows in MD & NJ," he wrote alongside a picture message.

The husband of Chrissy Teigen, however, assured fans that new concert dates would be announced "very soon." The statement read, "We will announce the new dates very soon. All tickets and seating will be honored. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I will get healthy and look forward to spending the evening with you as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding."

Interestingly, Legend did not postpone his show at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in New London, Connecticut this Friday, June 23. He has two shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City next week. Later this year, he is due to bring his tour to Europe.
