Following the Box Office success of "xXx: Return of Xander Cage", a fourth installment in the franchise is currently in development. Variety reports that "xXx4" is happening with The H Collective backing the project financially.

Director D.J. Caruso is expected to return for the upcoming movie. While Vin Diesel as the lead star will most likely return for the fourth movie, the rest of "Xander Cage" cast, including Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev and Deepika Padukone, are set to return as well.

It's Caruso who confirmed this when replying to fans' questions on Twitter. "does this mean we'll be getting an update on the @xxxMovie sequel soon??" Caitlin J.‏ asked, to which the director answered, "Yes meetings next week. Honing in on story and start dates."

Another asked, "Yes is nina in the sequel too?" He simply responded, "oh yes." The filmmaker also said "all coming back" when asked if there's would be any co-star who is replaced in the follow-up movie.

But the movie was a hit internationally, collecting $301.4 million for a worldwide total of $346.3 million, against a production budget of $85 million. Bringing back Diesel's Xander Cage who wasn't featured in the second installment, 2005's "XXX: State of the Union", it also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Toni Collette, martial artists Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa, as well as MMA fighter Conor McGregor.
