Rihanna once thought of marrying Chris Brown before the infamous assault back in 2009, according to a new report. The "Umbrella" hitmaker allegedly considered her then-boyfriend to be the man of her dreams and the key to her happily ever after.

A source reveals to HollywoodLife.com that Rih and Breezy "talked marriage all the time" prior to him getting violent and leaving her face tragically beaten, bruised and bloodied. "Rihanna wanted to marry him just as much as he did," notes the insider.

However, "that was thrown out the door by the abuse and jealously," the source explains. "It just wasn't going to happen no matter how much they wanted it to. The love they had for each other soured after things got volatile between them."

The news of Rih considering marrying Breezy comes on the heels of the "Forever" singer's confession that he was preparing to propose to the Bajan beauty. In his new documentary "Chris Brown: Welcome to My Life", Breezy reveals he planned on popping the question before things got nasty between him and Rih.

Breezy says he was ready to marry and settle down with his then-girlfriend despite his young age. He was barely twenty years old back then, but he fell so hard for Rih during their short-lived romance. He reveals that he was also the first one to say "I love you."
