See Jason Momoa and Amber Heard Together for the First Time in 'Aquaman' Set Photo


The picture features a scene where Momoa's Arthur Curry and Heard's Mera stand opposite each other in an alleged flashback sequence.
First photo of Jason Momoa and Amber Heard filming a scene together for "Aquaman" has arrived online. Making its way out via Amber Heard Italia's Twitter account, the photo sees Momoa's Aquaman and Heard's Mera standing opposite each other on the filming set in Gold Coast, Australia.

While the context of the scene is unknown, it is said to be a flashback sequence which takes place before the events in "Justice League". Heard, who portrays Momoa's on-screen wife and the Queen of Atlantis, will also make an appearance in the upcoming superhero team-up movie.



"Aquaman" production is currently underway in Australia. Earlier on, Warner Bros. announced in a press release that the filming would take place "mainly in locations spanning the stunning Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia, with extensive filming to be accomplished at Village Roadshow Studios." It would also be set in Newfoundland, Sicily and Tunisia.

"Aquaman" follows the story of Arthur Curry, a half-man and half-Atlantean, who leads Atlantic Ocean and tries to gain his glory. Enters his half brother, Orm (Patrick Wilson), who is as powerful and creating a hindrance that puts everything in havoc. Aquaman is obliged to prevent his evil half-brother from snatching his empire of high seas.

Also starring in the movie are Nicole Kidman (Atlanna), Willem Dafoe (Nuidis Vulko), Temuera Morrison (Thomas Curry), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Black Manta) and Dolph Lundgren (King Nereus).

"Aquaman" is set to hit U.S. theaters on December 21, 2018.
