The 36-year-old hit songwriter raises a total of $123.000 for the LGBTQ organization by auctioning off writing and recording sessions.

AceShowbiz - Justin Tranter auctioned off writing and recording sessions at GLAAD Media Awards and raised a total of $123.000. At GLAAD Media Awards in New York City on Saturday, May 6, he offered studio sessions with both top bidders and earned GLAAD $60.000. He also offered the same opportunity at last month's GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, raising $42.000.

"We will write a song, we will record the song," Justin said. "If you want to sing it, you can sing it. If you want me to sing it, I'll sing it. You will leave with the song fully produced." This unique offer turned out to be very interesting for bidders as it earned a lot of money for the LGBTQ organization. These individual sessions raised more than other items being auctioned off.

Justin, who is a GLAAD board member, later expressed his surprise and happiness for people's positive response. "I did not expect to raise this much money," he shared. The 36-year-old songwriter, who has written songs for Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Britney Spears and DNCE, said that he wanted to help people creating art. "We made more than the trips. It goes to show that for LGBTQ people and gender non-conforming people, making art is worth something," he stated.

"Justin Tranter is so interesting because he's one of the youngest people on our board," Sarah Kate Ellis, GLAAD's president and CEO, said of Justin. "He identifies as queer and he’s really bringing in the perspective of the next generation."

The award event was hosted by Ross Mathews and attended by stars like Zachary Quinto, Whoopi Goldberg, Trevor Noah and Andrew Rannells. Debra Messing was honored with the excellence in media award and Billy Porter was honored with the Vito Russo award. Rosie O'Donnell made a surprise appearance and dissed President Donald Trump on stage, sending a text that read, "F**k you, Donald. From the gays.
