A music video in support of David Guetta's new single "Light My Body Up" is released. Filmed in Miami Beach, Florida, it features a scantily-clad Nicki Minaj commands the room from her gold sofa while the DJ is following a curvy female who eventually leads him to the femcee.
"It showcases my versatility," she said in a Twitter Q&A. "[It] let's me make another historic moment w/my boss @LilTunechi AND that DAVID is a genius for the PRODUCTION." The song also features Lil Wayne. He is just chilling in the Benny Boom-directed clip, doing what he does best: spitting his verses.
It marks Guetta's first collaboration with Weezy after 2012's "I Can Only Imagine" and becomes the DJ's fourth project with Minaj following "Where Them Girls at", "Turn Me On" and "Hey Mama". The song initially didn't have her rap. It was added after he played the demo to his daughter who quizzed, "Why isn't Nicki rapping on it too?"
