Rest assured, "The Big Bang Theory" fans! Your favorite characters are not going anywhere. Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch, who play Amy and Bernadette respectively on the show, have renewed their deals with producer Warner Bros. Television after months of negotiations.
Details of the new deals are not revealed as a rep for Warner Bros. TV declines to comment, but insiders with knowledge of the negotiations tell Variety that Bialik and Rauch get salary raises that will earn them $500,000 per episode for 48 episodes. The deals reportedly include a separate development component for both actors.
"Big Bang Theory" got a two-season renewal in March while Bialik and Rauch were still negotiating their new deals. It was reported that five original cast members of the show, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg, agreed to take a $100,000-per-episode pay cut from the $1 million that each had been earning to help Bialik and Rauch get raises. This means these five actors will now earn $900,000 per episode each.
Bialik and Rauch were holding out deals to seek salary parity with their co-stars, but the $500,000 per episode fee is a significant increase from the $175,000-$200,000 per episode that each had been making in their last deals.
