The 35-year-old songstress and her 47-year-old husband reportedly have made a 120-million-dollar offer for a sprawling hilltop mansion in Bel Air while preparing the arrival of their twins.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z have made a $120 million dollar offer for a sprawling hilltop mansion in Bel Air, a new report suggests. It's said that the spouses, who are currently preparing for the arrival of their twins, are planning to move from New York to Los Angeles in search of more privacy.

Page Six was the first to report the news. A real estate source told the news outlet, "The house is beyond words. No expense was spared in design or execution." Described as a "masterpiece," the luxurious property was designed by acclaimed architect Paul McClean.

The manse boasts four pools, eight bedrooms and bullet-proof windows, as well as 11 bathrooms, a media room, space for a recording studio and a garage that can house up to 15 cars. Due to it being located in Bel Air's private East Gate area, the abode also offers stunning views of Los Angeles.

The mansion's been completely rebuilt by Irish firm McKillen Developments, which also redeveloped and owns landmark London hotels Claridge's, the Connaught and the Berkeley. It's being sold off-market for an asking price of $135 million, but the powerhouse couple's hoping to strike a deal for less than the desired price.

Beyonce and Jay-Z have been seeking to buy a home in L.A. for years, but until now, they have been renting after failing with bids for other properties. They're anxious to get settled in a new home since the twins are likely to arrive in June. They've also been checking out private kindergartens in the area for their 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
