AceShowbiz - Margot Robbie may be a member of British royal family in upcoming "Mary, Queen of Scots". The "Suicide Squad" actress is in talks to play Queen Elizabeth in Focus Features and Working Title's project, Variety reports. Should the deal be closed, Robbie will share screen with two-time Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan, who will play Mary Stuart in the film.

"Mary Queen of Scots" is directed by Josie Rourke, with Working Title's Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Liza Chasin producing. The based-on-true-story movie follows Mary's attempt to seize the throne of her cousin Elizabeth I. She was later forced to leave Scotland and eventually got imprisoned in England, where she was executed for plotting an assassination on Elizabeth.

Robbie, who is best-known for her portrayal as Harley Quinn in DC movie "Suicide Squad", will seemingly have busy years ahead. The Australian-born star will reprise her role as the pig-tailed anti-heroine in the upcoming "Suicide Squad" spin-off "Gotham City Sirens".

Last March, the 26-year-old actress was tapped to portray Maid Marian in "Marian", a movie based on Robin Hood folklore. She will also star in "Goodbye Christopher Robin" as the wife of author A.A. Milne and portayed Tonya Harding in biopic "I, Tonya".

Robbie's other upcoming movies include "Terminal" and live-action/CGI hybrid film "Peter Rabbit".
