Officially Done! Bella Hadid Quietly Unfollows The Weeknd on Instagram

The younger Hadid sister returns the favor by unfollowing back her ex-boyfriend, after The Weeknd and his new girlfriend Selena Gomez stopped following her weeks earlier.

AceShowbiz - Bella Hadid has officially done having The Weeknd on her Instagram feed. On Thursday, April 6, the supermodel reportedly unfollowed her ex-boyfriend on Instagram for good. The younger Hadid sister seemingly was waiting for a quiet moment and trying to unfollow the "Starboy" crooner under the radar, though fans were quick to notice her action.

The fact that Bella decided to unfollow The Weeknd came after the Canadian heartthrob and his current girlfriend Selena Gomez both unfollowed Bella on March 23. The 20-year-old model posted a slew of her sexy photos in bikini which probably triggered Selena to make her boyfriend stop following Bella. The following and unfollowing game got super messy when many people in the "False Alarm" crooner's crew allegedly gave Bella a cold shoulder by unfollowing her on Instagram.

However, if we trace back to earlier this year, it was actually Bella who started the whole following and unfollowing game. The runway beauty unfollowed Selena in January, around the time when the former Disney darling flaunted her and The Weeknd's heavily intimate photos on Instagram. Although the two brunettes were never best friends to begin with, many thought that Selena violated girl code by dating Bella's ex-boyfriend since they ran in similar circles.

Bella previously opened up to Teen Vogue about having a rough time during the breakup, after dating The Weeknd for a year. "It was my first breakup... and so public. As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it's always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily," she revealed. She later continued, "It'll be hard for a while. Love hurts, but you have to pull through."
