Has Gavin Rossdale finally moved on from his ex-wife Gwen Stefani? For the first time since his divorce from the "Hollaback Girl" singer in August 2015, the 51-year-old musician was spotted stepping out for a date night with a mystery woman in London, England earlier this week.
The mystery blonde turns out to be Sophia Thomalla, a German model who is 24 years younger than Gavin. During the night out, the 27-year-old beauty and the Bush frontman packed on some heavy PDA as they were seen sharing a kiss while taking a stroll along the streets.
However, a rep for Gavin has revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the British musician and the blonde model are not an item. Though their chemistry in some photos obtained by the publication appears undeniable, Gavin's rep says the two are just friends.
Gavin has not been in a relationship since his divorce from Gwen. In an interview with The Sun's Fabulous magazine earlier this year, he talked about his life following his highly-publicized divorce from the "Wind It Up" hitmaker, with whom he shares three sons.
"We had 20 years together and that in itself is pretty incredible," Gavin said of his marriage to Gwen, "It's a lifetime. I still think she's incredible. It was a lovely 20 years and we have three amazing children. There were a lot of positives, and with time they'll become more and more obvious."
He also revealed that he actually didn't want to divorce Gwen. "[Divorce] was completely opposite to what I wanted. Really not," he shared. "Apart from death, I think divorce is one of the hardest, most painful things to go through. The one thing - the only good thing, because everything else is not good - is we care about the children and it's about them. So we do everything to make this life change as seamless as possible."
