The short film titled 'Dante's Lunch...A Short Tail' is set in 'Coco' universe and features a dog owned by 'Coco' main character.

AceShowbiz - Pixar has dropped a new fun short film "Dante's Lunch...A Short Tail" as a teaser for its upcoming animated movie "Coco". Set in "Coco" universe, the 2-minute short film features the titular Xolo dog, which will be the companion of "Coco" main character Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez).

In the short film, Dante gropes for lunch in a trash bin. While the dog doesn't find anything in the bin, it finds an ulna on the street. However, the bone suddenly jumps away when Dante chomps down to eat it. Unwilling to give up, Dante chases after it and finally manages to catch the bone in a cart of sunflowers.

When Dante brings the bone with its mouth, though, the bone fights back. It wildly drags Dante by its tongue and leads the dog to a cemetery. There, Dante meets a living skeleton, which makes the dog very excited instead of frightened. The end of the trailer sees Dante chasing after the skeleton.

"Coco" follows a 12-year-old Mexican boy Miguel who wants to be a musician despite his family's generation-old ban on music. He wants to prove his talent and eventually finds himself arriving in a stunning Land of the Dead. Along with a charming trickster named Hector (Gael Garcia Bernal), Miguel starts an adventure to unveil the mystery behind his family history.

Directed by Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina, "Coco" is set to hit U.S. theaters on November 21.
