Life imitates art. "Supergirl" co-stars Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood are bringing their on-screen romance to real life. The two actors are reportedly dating, just a few months after she's divorcing her husband and former "Glee" co-star Blake Jenner.
The rumored lovebirds were spotted smiling as they walked their dogs together in Vancouver on Sunday, March 19. They went casual during the outing, bundling up in padded jackets to protect themselves from the chilly Canadian weather.
A day later, Melissa and Chris were pictured strolling through LAX together. They arrived on a flight from Vancouver, where they film The CW's superhero series, on Monday.
It's Melissa's first relationship since she split from Blake Jenner, whom she married in 2015.
On-screen, Melissa's character Kara a.k.a. Supergirl and Chris' Mon-El have a budding romance. "Last season, she learned how to be Supergirl. And, now, she's coming into her own more as an adult and, obviously, balancing love with everything that goes with that, so I love it ... think it's a really sweet thing that she's learning about herself," she said about her character in season 2.
Chris, meanwhile, gushed about the 28-year-old actress during the interview on the set last February. "[Melissa and I have] found this nice pocket for the characters to live in," he said. "It was just so easy to play and she's just so generous as an actress that she just keeps it rolling. She makes it easy."
