It's still a month away until "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is released, but now director James Gunn has confirmed the next sequel, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3". "There will be a 'Guardians 3', that's for sure," said the director during an interview with Complex, before adding, "We're trying to figure it out."

However, the director wasn't sure if he would be involved in the next movie. "I'm trying to figure out what I want to do really, that's all it is," he shared. "I got to figure out where I want to be, what I want to spend the next three years of my life doing." He added, "You know, I'm going to make another big movie, is it the Guardians or something else? I'm just going to figure it out over the next couple of weeks."

During the interview, Gunn also talked about "Avengers: Infinity War", in which Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) will make appearances. The director, however, assured fans that Star-Lord and the gang wouldn't be a huge part of the story.

The director explained, "You know, listen, I don't think we should overstate things that it is an Avengers movie, but the Guardians are a part of the cosmic universe, they're a part of Thanos' stories, so they are in there, and they have not the biggest, but an integral part to that."

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on May 5, while "Avengers: Infinity War" is slated to bow on May 4, 2018.
