Lamar Odom Says He's 'Doing Great' at First Orange Carpet Appearance Since Rehab Stint

The ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian brought his kids when making his first orange carpet appearance since his one-month rehab stint in December 2015.

AceShowbiz - Lamar Odom made an appearance last Saturday, March 11 at the 2017 Kids' Choice Awards. It was his first carpet appearance after months of recovery of drug addiction. The former basketball player claimed that he's "doing great" in an interview with E! News. Coming with his children, Destiny Odom and Lamar Odom, Jr., he looked cheerful when asked whether he was ready to get slimed.

"I'm doing great," he told the publication while hitting the orange carpet at the annual award show over the weekend. Standing alongside his 18-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son, the retired basketball player added, "Just chilling, relaxing, just here with my kids."

In October 2015, Lamar had underwent a fatal drug overdose. Since his rehab in December 2015, the star rarely attended public events. Now that he's "doing great," he revealed he had plans with his career, saying that he might take interest in coaching Los Angeles Lakers which was the team that made him popular. It's also rumored that there had been an offer for him to star on a variety show about his recovery.

Besides drug overdose, he also had been through a divorce with his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian. As reported by E! News, although the two have been divorced for years, they still have affection for each other.

In the Saturday occasion, none of Khloe's family members were coming. Blac Chyna, who shares a child with Khloe's brother, Rob Kardashian, attended the ceremony with her child, King Cairo. But the two did not make any interaction.
