Lea Michele has joined an untitled city mayor comedy pilot fom ABC. Details on what role she's going to play are still unclear, but the "Glee" alum was originally planned to take the role of Courtney's (Brandon Micheal Hall) chief of staff Valentina Flores.

Hailed from ABC Studios and "Hamilton" star Daveed Diggs, the comedy pilot follows Courtney Rose, an outspoken and idealistic rapper who runs for office as a publicity stunt. When he actually gets elected, Courtney surprises everyone, including himself, when he has a natural knack for the job and slowly transforms City Hall.

The project is written by "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" producer Jeremy Bronson. He will also executive produce the potential series alongside Diggs, Jamie Tarses, Scott Stuber and James Griffiths. The latter will also serve as the director of the pilot.

Michele recently starred on FOX's comedy horror "Scream Queens". The actress portrayed Hester Ulrich and she starred opposite Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts on the Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk drama.
