AceShowbiz - Terrence Malick's "Song to Song", starring Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara, Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman, has released its first full trailer. The movie will center on a complicated love story between two couples amid the Austin music scene.
As for the trailer, it boldly focuses on the characters' slice of life. It begins with Gosling's BV meeting Mara's Faye and expressing his feelings on her. The musicians soon fall in love and have a sweet, rocking relationship. "I thought we could just roll and tumble, live from song to song, kiss to kiss," says Faye.
They later have an encounter with music mogul Cook (Fassbender), who tries to help BV develop his music career. However, situation turns complicated when Cook starts to flirt with Faye, much to BV's annoyance. "He's after you," says BV. It gets even worse as Cook has a romantic relationship with a waitress (Portman) at the very same moment.
The trailer suggests that the movie will have a dreamy vibe of music events. Partially being filmed during 2012 Austin City Limits festival, "Song to Song" will feature cameos by Red Hot Chili Peppers and Iggy Pop. Arcade Fire, Patti Smith, John Lydon, Florence and the Machine and Iron and Wine are reportedly making their appearances as well.
A new poster of the movie has also been released, highlighting the four lead cast members and a black, worn CD's packaging.
