AceShowbiz - Mike Comrie has been accused of sexual assault. The ex-husband of Hilary Duff allegedly raped a woman in a wild threesome involving a second female.
The accusation doesn't necessarily turn the former hockey player into a bad guy in his ex-mother-in-law's eyes, though. Duff's mom, Susan, reportedly told Radar Online that Comrie is a "great guy." However, she opted to not give any comments on the reports that he sexually assaulted a girl in his Los Angeles home.
Regarding the Internet buzz about the accusation, LAPD Officer Liliana Preciado confirmed, "There is an open investigation of sexual assault involving Mr. Comrie." After the alleged incident, the women went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to receive a sexual assault kit (SAK).
No official comments have been released yet from Comrie's side, but according to police reports, he denied the accusation. 36-year-old Comrie insisted that the sexual encounter was consensual.
Comrie and Duff tied the knot in 2012. They separated two years later, before the divorce was finalized in February 2016. They share a son named Luca Cruz. Duff is currently romantically linked to a music producer named Matthew Koma.
