Though Lady GaGa called off her engagement to Taylor Kinney last July, it's only recently she gave the sparkler back to her ex-fiance. In Touch is the first to report that the "Million Reasons" hitmaker has returned the custom Lorraine Schwartz bling to the 35-year-old actor/model after moving on with talent agent Christian Carino.

"She gave Taylor back her heart-shaped engagement ring shortly after the holidays," a source reveals to the publication. The Mother Monster has been holding on to the massive bling in hopes they would "reconcile." However, "The Other Woman" actor allegedly "just wouldn't commit to getting engaged again."

The insider goes on saying that the 30-year-old singer, who was spotted kissing her new man Carino at the recent Super Bowl, "had no choice but to move on." The source alleges that the "Perfect Illusion" hitmaker "was incredibly sad to give the ring back, but it was the closure she needed."

GaGa split from Kinney in mid-2016 after five years together. In a statement released on her Instagram account, she said, "Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break."

"I think women love very hard. We love men. We just love with everything we have. And sometimes I don't know that that love is met with the type of dignity that we wish it would be met with," she added. "You know, we're not trying to make you less of a man. We just want you to love us as deeply and as wholesomely and as fully as we love you."
