Jamie Lynn Spears' daughter Maddie was reportedly badly hurt in an ATV accident in Kentwood, Louisiana on Sunday, February 5. The 25-year-old singer was not with her 8-year-old child when the accident occurred.
Sources tell TMZ that Maddie's condition is extremely serious. The little girl was on a Polaris off road vehicle when it flipped over. She was unconscious after she fell under water for several minutes. At the time, she was involved in a hunting expedition, according to sources. She was later airlifted to a nearby hospital.
Fans are sending their prayers and support via Jamie's Facebook. A fan writes, "I just heard that your child was in an accident according to TMZ. Prayers for your angel." A second fan posts, "Prayers for your dear daughter! May God be with all of you, at your time of need." Another one adds, "I send eternal love, healing, and positive energy to your daughter. Prayers to your family."
Jamie, the younger sister of pop superstar Britney Spears, famously got pregnant with Maddie at the age of 16 with her then-boyfriend, Casey Aldridge. She gave birth to Maddie on June 19, 2008.
