Negan is seemingly trying to turn your attention to him by taking over the field when the 'football season is over.'

AceShowbiz - "The Walking Dead" will be back Sunday, February 12, a week after the Super Bowl LI. During the live broadcast of the big game, the show debuted an ad to remind viewers which direction you should turn your attention to, later when the hype about football is over.
Without showing any footage from the new episodes, the 15-second spot shows a football laying on AstroTurf with the sound of cricket in the background, before the football is smashed with a barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat.
The baseball bat is a reference to Lucille, Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) weapon of choice which has claimed the lives of some of our beloved protagonists on the zombie-themed series.
"The Walking Dead" returns with new episodes starting Sunday, February 12 at 9/8c on AMC.
