Movie

A new teaser trailer for the medieval action movie has made its way out online, showing Hunnam's titular character embarking on a gritty and action-packed adventure.

AceShowbiz - It's been six months since the Comic-Con trailer of "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" was released in July 2016. Now, Warner Bros. has finally released a new official teaser trailer for the upcoming movie. The new trailer was debuted during the NFC Championship and was expected to appear again during the AFC Championship between New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The teaser trailer opens with a creepy and echoed voice of Charlie Hunnam who plays the titular king, suggesting his return to take back his rights, his kingdom. He drags his signature sword, Excalibur, as he says, "I am here now because of you. You created me, and for that I bless you."

The trailer also shows some of the villains as well as mystical beasts and creatures that King Arthur has to face to reclaim his kingdom from his villainous uncle. The trailer is jam-packed with thrilling action scenes, including the scene where Arthur jumps off huge cliffs. It appears that director Guy Ritchie applies his signature Snorricam technique to movie. The technique allows the frame moves with Arthur as he runs.

Along with the trailer, Warner Bros. has also released a new official poster of the movie with a tagline that reads, "From Nothing Comes A King."

The official synopsis describes the movie as "an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur's journey from the streets to the throne." When Arthur's still a child, his father is murdered. Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur's uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy whether he likes it or not.

"King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" also stars Astrid Berges-Frisbey ("Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides") as Mage, Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou ("Blood Diamond", "In America") as Bedivere, Aidan Gillen ("Game of Thrones") as Goosefat Bill, and Eric Bana ("Star Trek") as King Uther Pendagron, Arthur's father. Based on a script written by Joby Harold, Guy Ritchie and Lionel Wigram, it is slated for a May 12 release in U.S. theaters.
