Ben Affleck was turned into a viral internet meme thanks to one interview showing him looking bored or apparently pensive when co-star Henry Cavill talked about their movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". And now, the Caped Crusader depicter has finally responded to the #SadAffleck meme.
Affleck was talking about his latest movie "Live by Night" in a recent interview with BBC when he acknowledged that he's aware of the meme. Asked about what he learned from the DC superhero movie given its massive scale, he jokingly responded by saying he learned not to look so sad during interviews.
"It taught me not to do interviews with Henry Cavill where I don't say anything and they can lay Simon & Garfunkel tracks over it," the 44-year-old actor told BBC film critic Ali Plumb. "That's one thing I learned," he added.
Affleck then seriously answered Plumb's question, though. "I learned a ton, actually, making that movie," he said. "I had not made a movie of that scale. I didn't know what the technology was capable of doing nowadays. The last big blockbustery movie I made was 'Armageddon', which was in 1997."
