Margot Robbie's appearance as Harley Quinn, a trained female psychiatrist who later becomes the sidekick and lover of pyschopatic Joker (Jared Leto) in DC's "Suicide Squad", is a memorable one. Although the movie is no longer in theaters, the hype is still ongoing. A never-seen-before photo of Harley Quinn is recently released to kick off 2017.

The photo shows the already-familiar look of Harley Quinn. Her blonde hair is in pigtails and dyed with pink and blue. Her iconic bat is rested on her shoulder. She looks at the camera with her sharp villainous eyes and a slight smile on her red-tint lips.

Margot Robbie's star shined brightly in 2016. The Australian actress made her appearance in "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot", "The Legend of Tarzan" and "Suicide Squad". Her standout portrayal as the supervillain lady in "Suicide Squad" received positive reviews from viewers. And in December, Robbie and her longtime boyfriend Tom Ackerley got married in a private ceremony.

It has been announced that "Gotham City Sirens", "Suicide Squad" spin-off in which Margot Robbie will reprise her role as Harley Quinn, is under the early stages of development. The production will reportedly begin in summer 2017. The movie will be directed by David Ayer and executive-produced by Robbie. Two other female characters from DC universe, Catwoman and Poison Ivy, will appear alongside Harley Quinn. The release date of "Sirens" and the cast for Catwoman and Poison Ivy haven't been announced yet.
