Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei Slays a Mash-Up of Drake's 'Sneakin' ' and 'Fake Love'

The 20-year-old pop star believes that Drake is 'one of the most influential artists in this generation who consistently releases dope material.'

AceShowbiz - Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei follows in the footsteps of her groupmates to release solo material for the Harmonizers. Following her cover of Tory Lanez's "Say It" back in February, the 20-year-old pop star has shared on her YouTube channel a mash-up of Drake's two most recent hits, "Sneakin' " featuring 21 Savage and "Fake Love".

In the three-and-a-half-minute mash-up, Normani slays a slow-down rendition of the tracks. She sings over some harmonizing background vocals and sultry melody, which inevitably give the mash-up a soft R&B edge. She even puts her own twist on 21 Savage's verse as she sings, "Was playing mall shows, but main stagin' now."

Normani talked about the Invaders-produced mash-up to MTV News. The pop star shared her admiration for Drake as she said, "Drake has been one of the most influential artists in this generation who consistently releases dope material. I respect his artistry so much. He always resonates with me in some way so I decided to get creative and put my own spin on this mash-up of his most recent records for my fans to enjoy."

Normani's mash-up follows her groupmates Camila Cabello and Lauren Jauregui's solo ventures. Camila collaborated with Machine Gun Kelly on "Bad Things", which recently hit the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, while Lauren went solo on the Marian Hill-assisted track "Back to Me", which she released in early December.

Earlier this week, Fifth Harmony hinted at new album. During an interview with Elvis Duran, the band revealed that they're about to start working on the follow-up to this year's "7/27". The quintet said that the upcoming album would be "popping and so lit."
