Gwen Stefani has been dating Blake Shelton for more than a year but he has never met her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale before. Now, the Bush frontman will come face-to-face with the "Sangria" hitmaker soon.

According to sources, Gavin and Blake will cross paths at an upcoming event held at his kids' school. "Gwen has tried to arrange meetings between Blake and Gavin before," an insider explains, "But Gavin wasn't having it."

The insider tells Life & Style, "Gwen never wanted this to be the way Gavin and Blake met. But Gavin always showed resistance to meeting Blake sooner." The mother-of-three is hoping that everything will go smoothly as "there will be a lot of eyes on them."

On Thursday, December 15, Gwen stepped out for a Christmas shopping spree at Toys "R" Us in Los Angeles, California. The "Hollaback Girl" hitmaker was joined by his son Apollo and his nanny. She wore sunglasses, a grey sweater, blue distressed jeans, a plaid shirt tied around her waist and white sneakers.

Gwen was spotted grabbing toy after toy off the shelf as her two-year-old son sat on the trolley. They got so many toys that the "Rich Girl" singer had to stack them under the trolley after the main basket was filled up.
