Lin-Manuel Miranda has already set his sights on another big project following the success of the box office conqueror "Moana". According to a new report from Deadline, the Tony Award winner is teaming up with Sony Pictures Animation to develop a new animated musical called "Vivo".

The project is on a fast track, with Miranda providing 11 original songs for the original movie. The 36-year-old musician/actor took to Twitter on Wednesday, December 14 to say that he "wrote these tunes for 'Vivo' years ago," before adding, "So thrilled they've found a home at @SonyAnimation and I get to play with Quiara again."

The studio has booked a December 18, 2020 U.S. release date for the movie. Originated by "High School Musical" scribe Peter Barsocchini, it focuses on "a capuchin monkey with a thirst for adventure and a passion for music that makes a treacherous passage from Havana to Miami to fulfill his destiny."

Kirk De Micco, who co-directed "The Croods" with Chris Sanders, is attached to helm the movie from a screenplay by Miranda's collaborator on "In the Heights" Quiara Alegria Hudes. Lisa Stewart will produce, with Laurence Mark serving as an executive producer.
