It's been a busy year for Ryan Lochte, but things are getting more hectic next year as he's going to be a dad. The Olympic swimmer announced on Instagram Wednesday, December 14 that he's currently expecting his first child with fiancee Kayla Rae Reid.
The former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant revealed the happy news with a picture of him kissing Reid's baby bump while they're both taking a dip in a pool. "My Christmas gift came early this year, can't wait for next year," he wrote in the caption. "Best news I've ever received #CLOUD9 #excited #family #love #2017."
His Playboy model fiancee also shared a similar photo on her own Instagram page and said, "Just when you think you think you have it all figured out, life always surprises you with blessings when least expect it. So excited to share this news with all of you! #weareprego #omg #2017."
Lochte and Reid began dating earlier this year. They were spotted together numerous times when he was competing in the Rio Olympic last summer, but they didn't publicly confirm their romance until September.
The 32-year-old gold medalist, who said he relied on Reid's support after the Rio robbery scandal, got engaged to her in October. He proposed with a custom-designed diamond ring after taking her on a private helicopter tour of Los Angeles.
