Alexa Vega is officially a mom. The "Spy Kids" actress welcomed her first child with husband Carlos Pena Jr. on Wednesday, December 7 in Los Angeles, a rep for the two stars has confirmed to PEOPLE. The baby, a boy, is named Ocean King PenaVega.
Alexa and Carlos got married in January 2014. They announced her pregnancy back in June via their respective social media pages. Two months later, the pair shared an ultrasound photo of the baby while announcing his sex and name.
In a separate social media post, Alexa revealed why she and her hubby picked the name. "God called the dry ground 'land' and the water the 'seas.' And God saw that it was good," she explained. "That is why we went with Ocean. And he is a son of the one true 'King.' "
Prior to their child's birth, Alexa and Carlos frequently shared updates on her pregnancy via Instagram photos. Earlier this week, the 28-year-old beauty bared her burgeoning baby bump while posing next to a decorated Christmas tree.
They also posted pictures of them excitedly preparing the baby's arrival. "Up late with @vegaalexa learning about baby bottles and boiling them clean for Oceans arrival! #thingsparentsdo #imaparent #AHHHHHH," Carlos wrote last week alongside a photo showing him goofing around with a baby bottle.
