AceShowbiz - After leading the nominations of Critics' Choice Movie Awards with a total of 12 nods, "La La Land" wins big at the NYFCC event. The drama musical directed by "Whiplash" helmer Damien Chazelle takes the title of Best Film at the New York Film Critics Circle.
Meanwhile, Casey Affleck wins Best Actor and his "Manchester by the Sea" co-star Michelle Williams is named Best Supporting Actress for both her roles in "Manchester" and "Certain Women". Best Animated Film goes to "Zootopia".
Best Director is awarded to Barry Jenkins for his amazing work in "Moonlight" and the actor Mahershala Ali is named Best Supporting Actor. Isabelle Huppert is picked by the NYFCC members as Best Actress, thanks to her performances in both "Elle" and "Things to Come".
