'The FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation. No charges have been filed in this matter,' an FBI spokeswoman says in a statement.

AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt has officially been let off the hook. Following in the footsteps of the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, the FBI has officially cleared the actor of any wrongdoing in the child abuse case.

As previously reported, FBI and the DCFS launched their investigation into Pitt in late September following claims that the actor abused his oldest son Maddox during a flight from France to Los Angeles. The dispute reportedly also caused his divorce from his wife of two years, Angelina Jolie.

FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller announced in a statement issued on Tuesday, November 22 that the Bureau had finally closed the investigation and that no charge had been filed.

"In response to allegations made following a flight within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States which landed in Los Angeles carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation," read the statement. "No charges have been filed in this matter."

The DCFS concluded their investigation earlier this month. A rep for Jolie said that the actress was "relieved" that her ex had been cleared of child abuse charges though sources claimed that she's going to present evidence that he did abuse one of their kids if he's still seeking joint custody.
