AceShowbiz - The release date of Disney's "A Wrinkle in Time" has been announced in the most creative way possible. Director Ava DuVernay along with cast and crew members from 27 departments take on the viral Mannequin Challenge before they surprisingly reveal the movie's release date.

In the video taken on Monday, November 14, the helmer, newcomer Storm Reid, Rowan Blanchard and Deric McCabe among others could be seen perfectly staying still in their working poses. In the final seconds of the more-than-two-minute video, Reid, who will play the lead character Meg Murry, was seen holding her draft emblazoned with the release date, April 6, 2018.

Adapted from Madeleine L'Engle's beloved novel, "A Wrinkle in Time" revolves around teenager Meg Murry, her genius brother Charles Wallace and classmate Calvin O'Keefe. They launch an interplanetary mission to rescue the siblings' missing scientist father. Along the way, they are counseled by the mysterious trio of Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which.

Meg's brother Charles Wallace will be played by McCabe, while Calvin O'Keefe will be portrayed by Levi Miller. The three celestial beings will be played by Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling. Meg and Charles Wallace's scientist parents, Mr. and Mrs. Murry, will be depicted by Chris Pine and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

Also starring Zach Galifianakis, Andre Holland, Michael Pena, Bellamy Young and Will McCormack, the sci-fi drama is written by "Frozen (2013)" co-writer Jennifer Lee.
