Movie

The helmer has confirmed that he will sit behind the lens for the entire sequels to 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'.

AceShowbiz - David Yates has confirmed that he is tapped to direct all five "Fantastic Beasts" movies. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter during the world premiere of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" on Thursday, November 10, the helmer revealed that he would sit behind the lens for the entire sequels.

"I love making films, and I've got a great team, all of whom are like family," Yates said. "I only look at it movie to movie." The helmer, who also directed four "Harry Potter" movies, revealed that the sequels would be "so different" from the first movie, adding that it could be "much more haunting, like a dream."

While J.K. Rowling is putting the "finishing touches" to the script of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2", Yates, along with his crew, is in pre-production. They are building sets of Paris, France and Watford, England as the second movie is confirmed to be "European-centric" after the America-set first movie.

The first "Fantastic Beasts" movie is coming to U.S. theaters on November 18. It stars Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander. It's supported by the likes of Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Ron Perlman, Alison Sudol, Carmen Ejogo, Jon Voight and Dan Fogler.

Meanwhile, the second movie, co-starring Johnny Depp as the notorious dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald and a-yet-to-be-announced actor as the young version of Albus Dumbledore, is set for a November 16, 2018 release. It will be followed by the third movie on November 20, 2020.
