AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lawrence is not the only one making a movie about the late Zelda Fitzgerald. Scarlett Johansson is also working on a similar project that will chronicle the life of the late Jazz Age icon who became a rival to her author husband F. Scott Fitzgerald before she suffered from schizophrenia.
While the project led by Lawrence is simply called "Zelda" with Ron Howard attached at the helm, the one developed by Johansson is named "The Beautiful and the Damned" after a play on the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic which was based on his marriage to Zelda.
Both actresses are not the first to portray Zelda on the big screen though. Vanessa Kirby recently played the female author in a small role in Colin Firth-starring drama "Genius" and Alison Pill portrayed her in Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris". Meanwhile, Christina Ricci starred as the novelist on Amazon series "Z: The Beginning of Everything".
