Joe Jonas shocked lots of his fans when he publicly discussed his sex life during a Reddit AMA session last week. In the chat, he admitted that he lost his virginity to ex-girlfriend Ashley Greene, who appeared to respond to the confession with a shady Instagram post about "class."

However, Joe didn't mean to hurt anyone, including his former lover, with the revelation. Speaking to ET at the "TIDAL X: 1015" concert in Brooklyn over the weekend, the DNCE frontman said that he name-checked Ashley simply because he values honesty.

"I don't know. I think life's too short, you know?" the former Jonas Brothers singer told the publication. "I mean ultimately, I think of myself as an honest guy. There are just those moments in life where you have to be true to yourself and true to the world."

"I'm not out to hurt anybody, but I think, ultimately, I'm just telling my stories and what I can say from my heart," he added.

During a Reddit AMA on Tuesday, October 11, Joe discussed various topics, including his penis size and how he lost his virginity. "I lost my virginity to this girl named Ashley," he said before urging fans to use Google to find out which Ashley he referred to.

"It's quite the great story because I didn't have any condoms, so I went to our drummer Jack's room, who was my roommate at the time, and I demolished his room looking for them," he continued. "Found them underneath his underwear drawer. When he came home, he thought somebody broke into his room because his whole room was demolished because I was in dire need. Needed to happen then and now. Safety first, kids."

Ashley apparently wasn't too happy to find out she was dragged into the scandalous AMA session. Without mentioning her ex-boyfriend, she later posted on Instagram a cryptic message that simply read, "Class is timeless."
