Media Take Out regrets running "hurtful" articles that called Kim Kardashian a liar following the traumatic robbery she endured in Paris. The gossip site issues a statement to publicly apologize to the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star.

"We can understand how reports questioning if the robbery in fact took place can be hurtful, and so we apologize. No one deserves to go through such a traumatic experience. Kim is not just celebrity, she is a person, a wife and a mother - who in no way deserved what happened to her," the site says.

The apology comes after Kim Kardashian filed a lawsuit against Media Take Out. She slammed the gossip site for claiming, "without any factual support whatsoever, that Kardashian faked the robbery, lied about the violent assault, and then filed a fraudulent claim with her insurance company to bilk her carrier out of millions of dollars."

It's unclear whether or not Kim will proceed with the lawsuit after the apology, but she continues to keep a low profile after the scary incident where she was bound, gagged and robbed at gunpoint. She is now back home in Los Angeles with her children North and Saint West.

According to a source, Kim "has been having flashbacks and hasn't been sleeping well." She is reportedly seeking professional help to deal with her paranoia.
