The 'Doctor Strange' star warns readers that he's not going to talk about the pop songstress while chatting with Hiddleston for the new issue of Interview magazine.

AceShowbiz - Benedict Cumberbatch gets to chat with Tom Hiddleston for Interview magazine, but don't expect them to discuss the latter's ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. While the world is eager to hear what the "Thor" baddie has to say about the relationship, his pal Cumberbatch refuses to even mention the pop diva's name.

"There's another weight of us being in the public eye, which is this presumption that, because your work and your promotion work is very public, your private life should be, too," the "Doctor Strange" actor said in the cover story of the magazine's October issue.

"I just want to say that I'm not going to ask questions about my friend's personal life just because there are unsolicited photographs of him and a certain someone, in a relationship or together," he continued. "I'm not going to get into that. So that door is closed, dear reader." Hiddleston only chuckled and responded, "Thank you."

"I am so profoundly aware of my lack of skill to make any material difference...I can't influence foreign policy. I can't build schools. I can't chemically engineer the protein paste that helps people with acute malnutrition. But I can talk about it, and so can you." @twhiddleston °¯¿½¯¿½· @stevenkleinstudio. Hiddleston and Swift began dating in June, shortly after she broke up with Calvin Harris. The pair ended their three-month relationship earlier this month, but the 36-year-old actor has said that he and his ex are still friends.

After the split, Hiddleston is now focusing on "Thor: Ragnarok" which will reunite him with Chris Hemsworth. In the chat with Cumberbatch, he said that working with the Thor depicter again was actually the best part of doing the movie.

"I first met him in Kenneth Branagh's house in England in 2009. We were mere children, in the very beginning of our acting journeys. We made an instant connection, and it's been extraordinary to share the ride with him - this mad journey with Marvel," he said.
