AceShowbiz - Before "Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner took the role of young Jean Grey in "X-Men: Apocalypse", several actresses including Chloe Moretz, Hailee Steinfeld and Elle Fanning were lined up for the part. An early concept art for the Bryan Singer-directed film which has landed online seems to confirm that Fanning was being considered to take the role of the powerful mutant.
Posted on Twitter by Greg Hopwood on Sunday, September 4, the early artwork drawn by artist Allan Villanueva shows the initial concept of Jean Grey, with "The Neon Demon" actress as the character. The alternate design for the suit closely resembles the blue-and-gold costume legendary artist Jim Lee illustrated for the powerful telekinetic mutant in 1990's "X-Men" comic book series.

Additionally, Hopwood shares an unused concept art of Storm, which is played by Alexandra Shipp in the follow-up to "X-Men: Days of Future Past". The image features young Ororo Munroe sporting a different costume.
